In addition to travelling in an amphibious vehicle that drives on land and enters the Tagus River, the HIPPOtrip experience includes live onboard entertainers, making the tour more dynamic, fun and interactive, with stories, curiosities and plenty of positive energy throughout the journey.
Adult tickets cost €30.
For children (2–16 years) and seniors (65+), tickets cost €20.
In July and August, there is an additional €4 per ticket.
We also offer a 10% discount for family packages (2 adults + 2 or more children) and groups of 10 or more passengers.
Tickets can be purchased online on our website or directly at the HIPPOtrip ticket office at Doca de Santo Amaro, Alcântara.
Tours are available every day of the year, except on December 25th and January 1st.
Regular departure times are 10:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00, and during the summer season there is also a 18:00 departure.
Advance booking is not mandatory, but it is recommended, as seats are limited.
The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and does not include stops.
Boarding and drop-off take place at Doca de Santo Amaro, Alcântara.
The route includes areas such as Cais do Sodré, Bairro Alto and Belém.
The itinerary may be temporarily adjusted due to roadworks or traffic restrictions.

No, it is not required during the tour. Life jackets are available on board for all passengers, stored under the seats and used only in case of emergency.
Tours are available in Portuguese and English. Other languages may be requested for exclusive vehicle bookings.
Yes. The minimum age is 2 years, for safety reasons and due to the mandatory use of seat belts throughout the tour.
Yes. The voucher is valid for 3 months and can be purchased via email at info@hippotrip.com.
Yes. There are no restrictions for pregnant passengers.
Yes, tours operate as usual even on rainy days, and the vehicles have windows that can be closed if necessary.
However, we recommend passengers dress appropriately for the weather conditions for greater comfort during the experience.
Yes. Pets are allowed on board provided they travel in an appropriate carrier placed on the floor near the owner’s feet.
Passengers must arrive slightly earlier before boarding, as the owner will need to sign a declaration acknowledging that, in case of emergency, pets cannot be transported on the life raft.
Unfortunately, maritime safety regulations do not allow access for passengers with reduced mobility or wheelchair users. All passengers must board the vehicle independently, and the access steps are quite steep.
